Become A Member
The following levels of Chapter membership are offered. All new member applications are reviewed and approved before full access is granted. Please review the descriptions, then make your choice below to start the application process.
Please note that you must first belong to ASHI before you can join the Chapter. If you are not a member of ASHI, please visit www.ashi.com to learn more about joining the national organization.
Please only submit your application one time.
ASHI Certified Inspector members have met the following requirements in addition to those below:
- Passed the National Home Inspector Examination and ASHI's Standards and Ethics Examination.
- Had inspection reports successfully verified for compliance with ASHI's Standards of Practice.
- Submitted valid proof of performance of at least 250 fee-paid home inspections that meet or exceed ASHI's Standards of Practice.
- Eligible for the Featured Inspector distinction, which is presented on portal (home) page.
ASHI Associate w/Logo members have met most of the requirements for Certified Inspector including:
- Passed the National Home Inspector Examination and ASHI's Standards and Ethics Examination.
- ASHI has verified performance of 50 fee-paid inspections in substantial compliance with its Standards of Practice.
- Eligible for the Featured Inspector distinction, which is presented on portal (home) page.
ASHI Associate members have not yet met any of the Certified Inspector requirements, however:
- Associates may be highly experienced inspectors who have just joined ASHI, or they may be novice inspectors who have completed training or otherwise entered the profession.
- Eligible for the Featured Inspector distinction, which is presented on portal (home) page.
Retired ASHI Member members no longer practice as active professional inspectors, but are still in good standing with ASHI, and may be active both locally and nationally with the Society. Retired members are not eligible for the Featured Inspector distinction.
Affiliate members DO NOT belong to ASHI (typically), but are in related industries. They act as valuable resources for Chapter members. Examples might include structural engineers, radon mitigators, answering services, etc. Affiliate members are not eligible for the Featured Inspector distinction.
