Whether you are new to the industry, or already have an established business, the Great Plains ASHI Chapter can help you.
Our goal is to provide you with information and guidance on the home inspection business.  We are committed to assisting and supporting current, new, and potential members.  Here are some of the ways:

• Bi-monthly meetings that provide training and information.  One hour of each meeting is dedicated to a guest speaker who provides in-depth information of a specific home inspection oriented topic.
  
• Annual two-day seminars to provide comprehensive training on a wide variety of topics.  Each seminar will cover eight to ten topics.
  
• Assistance with studying for the National Home Inspection Examination (NHIE).  Refresher classes are offered as needed on several specific topics to help individuals prepare for the test.
  
• Each requesting associate is assigned an experienced inspector to serve as a mentor.  The mentor is responsible for being a primary point of contact for information and guidance.  The mentor will be available to accompany and critique an associate on an inspection.
  
• Reduced dues for associates, retired members, and affiliates.
  
• The Chapter actively markets its members and ASHI to the local real estate community.  This includes Chapter advertising in local publications and events.
  
• Aid in getting established in the home inspection business.  Through general membership and the mentor program, the Chapter provides insight and guidance on the home inspection business.  By actively participating in the Great Plains ASHI Chapter, you can gain insights into operating a company, and what it takes to be successful.
  
• Networking.  Members of the Great Plains ASHI Chapter are committed to providing mutual support.  We pride ourselves on our knowledge and experience. We welcome the opportunity to share our experience when called upon.
  
• The Chapter can assist with all the forms needed to become a member of ASHI, both the national organization and the local Chapter.
  
• The Great Plains ASHI Chapter will informally review your inspection forms for completeness and adherence to ASHI standards.  This will help prevent you from performing many inspections that do not meet ASHI requirements.
